hi,can anyone help.i am trying to trace my great-great grandfather,whom we believe was in the 1st Hampshire regiment.we also know he was stationed at beggars bush barracks in Dublin ireland in about 1894.i would like to find out why he was stationed there.have been told that there was only 35 men serving at beggars bush at the time.why?.if anyone knows any history on beggars bush i would love to hear about it ???

hi , i am trying to trace my great great grandfather private James Harris 309,1st Hampshire regiment.i know that for a time he was stationed in beggars bush barracks in Dublin.he married in kilkenny ireland in 1883 ...does anyone know if the Hampshire regiment was stationed in kilkenny around that time...any info on the 1st Hampshire would be good :)

can any one help? i am trying to trace my great-great grandparents, my great great grandfather James Harris was stationed there in 1894.my great great grandmother Mary Harris died in 1894 in the royal Dublin hospital (baggot street) .as far as we can trace she was a catholic before marriage and am trying to trace where she would be buried.whether catholic or Protestant grave yard.................has any one any ideas? there children also went to school while they were at beggars bush ...any ideas or any help i would be most grateful as its like trying to find a needle in a haystack
