I have very few details of this mans early life other than he was born in Newbridge and died aged approx 30 (?) in 1916. I know he moved to England prior to enlisting at Preston but I was wondering if any kind sole could possibly link him to a 1891 or 1901 census for the town?

Thank you

I beieve his parents were called Squire and Margaret Kay, nee Cross.

I was wondering if there is anything for the name Groom, Richard I believe marrying Mary around the turn of the 19th Century.  I believe they were both from Boughton?

Many thanks
