Yes you are right this was a home for unmarried mother open from 1916 to 1927 and took in about 300 girls.

They were a great home and helped the girls look after their babies and in some cases help them track down the father to help with the upkeep of the child.

I have extensive information on the home and the owners Alice and Francis Rutter, Quakers and well thought of in Mere.

I would be happy to help you if you need further information

Thanks again Shane for your reply

I will keep trying to locate these records, but it is so much more difficult as they probably didn't originate from Ireland. I could start closer to home in Yorkshire, will keep you posted if I have any success

Thanks again Shane, this is probably the area as they look old but renovated as you say.

It doesn't look as though there are Parish Records on Family Search for St Werburghs to trace anything more on Sarah Anne. Is this the end of my search do you think?

Thanks a lot Shane for taking the time to supply this information.

Yes Annesley Ave was as you stated, but when we visited Dublin about 10 years ago it was no more and the area was very rough and we were discouraged for going any further.

We also visited Drumcondra where my GGrandfather was married this area was very pleasant. I really feel that Sarah Anne was my relative as there weren't too may Breasleys at the time in Dublin.

Thanks again for your help

Thanks Shane for your reply, not surprised you couldn't find them listed

I was surprised when I started searching for the Breasley family as I was convinced they originated in Ireland. I came across records in Australia and some came from Ireland. Perhaps they all emigrated as there are hundreds of Breasleys in the Oz phonebook.

Many also came from Yorkshire but I cannot find a connections, maybe John could be. I always live in hope, or perhaps I need to get a life, but then this is what makes family history so absorbing

I look forward to hearing from you

Thanks Shane, Yes I found the second certificate too.

I cannot discount her father John Breasley being my relative on the strength of this information, it is a real pity that the censuses didn't survive for this period, but then that would be too easy!!!

What is the 1877 directory that gave you the residence details? Are you able to confirm anything about  14 Wicklow Terrace, Annesley Avenue in Dublin, this is where my GGgrandfather lived until he died in 1879

Many thanks for your help, very grateful to you

Hi Shane

The copy of the marriage certificate states that Sarah Anne's father was a plumber. I am trying to establish a link between my great grandfather's father being John Breasley a builder  and Sarah Anne's father. Perhaps they are the same person. Making her my relative

Do you know if Drumcondra and St Werburghs are located close to each other
