Thank you, Heywood!  Much appreciated, as is the info about Bernards being baptised as Bryan or vice versa.   :)

Hi Mandy,

This is Frances.  It´s just a mobile phone pic which I took this morning.  Will scan the pic and send it to you if you would like me to.

I think she is really beautiful.

Hi Mandy!

My grandad Bernard was the son of Bryan and Frances.  He also had a son called Bernard.  My grandad was sometimes called Barney by the family.  My mam told me about her aunts and uncles, including her uncle Tom and she was especially fond of her Aunt Aggie.

I´ve got a photo of Frances Dunn, or at least a copy of a photo, which my Mam was given many years ago.  I´ll seek it out and scan it.

I´d heard that Bryan married a lady in America, and that they had a son, but both died in a flood.

Apart from census info and Bryan and Frances´marriage certificate, I haven´t got much info, other than family tales.

Frances had a daughter before meeting Bryan.  Aunt Liz, who my Mam also adored.

I´m glad we´re related.  It´s nice to have a new cousin!

Love, Jill

P.s.  Other countries?  I had heard that at one point he went to the United States, but have no other info.

Hello Mandy!

What a nice surprise to hear from you.  Yes, he was my great grandfather.  His son Bernard was my grandad and his daughter Amelia was my mam.

I´m so pleased to hear from you.

Love,

Jill

Hello Gillianne!

Oh my goodness, yes!  James Gow was my granda, who we loved very, very much - he was a lovely man! My dad told me as much as he new about Granda Brown´s family. I would LOVE to hear about his other children.  My dad always wished he had got to know them.

We are just about to go out for the evening, I would rather stay in and write all I know, but will write more tomorrow.

Please stay in touch.
