Dublin / Registry house
« on: Tuesday 09 May 23 16:51 BST (UK)  »
Hi
I wondering if anyone can help me?
I'm travelling to Dublin in the next couple of weeks and would like to research my Irish ancestors, is there anywhere I can go in person to look at the certificates, just like new registry house in Edinburgh
Thank you
Dottie

Hi gaffy
Thanks for the reply,
According to my friend it came down the family that they were Irish.
I have checked Scotland's people just in case but I have not found any sign of them before he married in 1918
Thanks again

Hi Penines
Thank you for the quick reply
I did get the date of birth from his marriage cert in 1918 he was 20, then his death in 1959 he was 61.
His father John was a labourer,
John & Mary were both deceased on the marriage cert
Thanks again

Hi guys
I'm researching these folks for a friend.
John & Mary had a son Thomas born in 1898, I connot find any birth records for Thomas, he married in Scotland and died in Scotland, it says on his marriage cert that he was presently on war duty with the army lab corps,
I would be grateful for any help on this
Thank you in advance

Hi Neil
Thank you for your reply.
Yes this is the Donald I meant, I am the great granddaughter of  Donald & Georgina, I have looked for their  parents for years, do you have proof that these are really their parents?
I have seen a few post from hazel, I believe her & my dad are full cousins.
Where do you live?

Hi Neil
Sorry for not replying before but I have just noticed your post.
I see that your James is the son of Donald & Margaret Stewart, my Donald is also the son of a Donald & Margaret Stewart, do you think these could be brothers?
I don't know the parents of this two, do you?
