Does anyone have access to the 1841 Census for Sandford Orcas, I am looking for Maria Cooper who was born there circa 1827, her fathers name was William, who was a Leather Parer when she married in 1848 and a Glover when she married again in 1852.

Not managed to find her family on either the 1851 or 1841 Census, the COOPER Family that is.

I am looking for the death of John Adams, who died between Oct 1848 (date he was married) to Mar 1851 (date of census, his wife Maria was listed as widow). I sent off for a death certificate for Mar 1850, Sherborne. I do not think it is the correct one as the witness name is an Elisabeth Bishop? and the sub-district on the certificate is Bradford Abbas, aged at death 28 - I know the ages vary, but I have him at 26 on this date. There is another registered at the same time in Taunton - could this be a possibility?

They had 1 son, George. He was born 17th May 1849 in Rimpton

John Adams was the son of Silas and Sarah Adams (nee Knight), born circa 1824.

Would like to find his death in the Registers, also an entry in the 1841 Census records if possible.

Further interest would be his parents, who married 10th Aug 1817 in Trent - is this near to Rimpton?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, are the registers available for loan or will I need to travel down to Dorset?

Silas Adams, son John married Maria Cooper 17 Oct 1848 Sherborne Register Office, Somerset. Maria's father William Cooper. Both of Rimpton, Somerset.

George Adams, son of John (above), grandson of Silas. Born 17th May 1849, Rimpton, Somerset. Married Mary Ann Ellis 10 Sep 1870 Parish Church Poyntington, Somerset. Mary Ann's father - James Ellis.

Any help with any of these families would be greatly appreciated.
