Hi Everybody ,
I am looking for somebody that would be willing to help me out by taking down the headstone inscription or even better taking a photo of my Grandfathers grave in Carmountside Graveyard in Stoke-on-Trent .His name was Thomas Salmon ,he died in 1976 and lived in Chapel Court, Silverdale ,Newcastle -upon-Lyme and his grave is IL 176,Block IL ,Row 2 ,Grave 16 .If anyone by any slim chance knew Thomas I would love to find out more about him .I would be extremely grateful to anyone that may be able to help me out and end a 10 year search for me .
Thanks so much ,Ger  :)

Hi Gerald,

Thanks for your reply.I have visited Ballinasloe since I first started this thread.I have been to the old graveyard in Kilclooney ,found the Salmon graves and I was given a tour of the old Salmon homestead. It was great to visit the place where the family lived nearly 200 years ago and my trip helped me to fill in a lot of blanks in the tree.I have just sent you a reply to the e-mail you sent me in reply to my query on another forum.

Hi Everybody,

Thank you all for our replies.I am back on the boards after a long break from research and I hope I can be of some help to you all .My Salmon's hail from Kilclooney,Ballinasloe, but I have little information pre 1820 ,if anyone has any questions relating to the Salmon family of Kilclooney or would like to try and put our information together and hopefully fill in a few gaps please feel free to post here or send me a pm.I have an extensive Salmon family tree online on another genealogy site.

Regarding the O'Rourkes,I do not have any Daniel's in my O'Rourke family tree wich dates back to the late 1700's ,there were ,and still are Dunne and O'Rourke families in the parish of Whitechurchglynn,Wexford.I hope this is of some help.

Ger
