Hi Lorrie

James Adred 1846 his wife was Alice Taberner1850

They had 7 children
Jane 1871  (my gr grandma)
George 1873
Thomas 1874
Katherine 1879
James 1881
Percy  1886
Ethel 1887

Do these names ring any bells?

I am researching my fathers tree, found a few hits along the line, does any one recognize the following in their ancestry.

My Dad  Robert Greig 1921  Haggs, Stirlingshire

grandad   Alexander Bellamy Greig  1898  Cockenzie Tranent
grandma  Annie Gray Lindsey  1897 Banknock via Denny, Stirlingshire, Scotland

Robert Greig 1856 Cockenzie, Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland
Isabella Ross 1861 Cockenzie, Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland

William Greig 1817 Cockenzie, Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland
Catherine Fleucker (Flockhart) 1818 Tranent, East Lothian, Scotland

I have a list of their brothers and sisters but this is my blood line.

I live in Lancashire and tracing my other grandparent trees (3) and find that scottish ancestry is easier to trace.

My gr grandmother Jane Aldred born in Haydock but lived Tyldesley but moved to Farnworth I presume when she married my gr grandfather  Thomas Nowell but he came from Chorley.

Jane was one of seven children the children lived in Radcliffe but majority of the family was born in Pemberton nr Wigan, two younger children were born in Radcliffe were my gr gr grandfather James ran a public house on 111 Church Street Radcliffe. Does anyone know if the pub is still there.

I am a glutton for punishment as I am researching 4 family trees at once, all not born in Farnworth but all ended up in farnworth/Radcliffe surrounding areas.

I am trying to find my nan's family tree, I always thought that she was an only child as my mum never mentioned any Aunts or uncles, but when I looked up the census I find she was one of eight with two boys that only survived a couple of years.

3 of her 4 sisters all married I found and have copies of their marriage certificates.

They lived in gas street farnworth by the park as my gr grandad George Henry Long was the gas works foreman, then moved the phealthan street farnworth near moses gate area. I can find the Long's going back but I would like to contact with the Long's going forward. Does any one have any of the following in their family .
My gr grandmother was called Tamar Nicholson
Mary Long &  John Bleakley
Annie Long & John Chadwick
Elizabeth Long & John Smethurst (why did they all go for the name John)
Agnes Long cannot find records of her getting married
Frank Long & Sarah Elizabeth Taylor

They all came from Farnworth except Sarah she was from New Bury, Bolton

Lastly  Sarah Ellen Long  married James Aldred Nowell, my grandma and grandad they alway lived on Plodder Lane in Farnworth they had a grocery shop then moved across the road  were they had a chippy then later on turned it into a house. This was opposite St. Georges church.
My mums name was Edna Mary Nowell

I have all the history prior the above but would like to know what happened to the  families of my nan.
