Argyllshire / McLeans of Kilmun
« on: Saturday 16 September 17 06:47 BST (UK)  »
In 1870 & 1875 two children of Findlay & Mary McLean died near Kilmun. Their names were Archibald and John. I believe they were Free Church but I'm  not sure. Would anyone help me find where they are buried? Many thanks
Linda

In 1870 and 1875 Finlay and Mary Taylor McLean lost two of their sons. Diphtheria I believe. They were members of a Free Church.  Various places are mentioned in records  line Rashfield, Dunoon, Kilmun and Strone. Where would these little boys be buried. . Actually how does one find out where anyone is buried in that area?

Not sure if this was sugested but Pier 21 in Halifax was where all war brides disembarked. My mother came over on the Ile de France. Its a worthwhile site to visit

Yes thank you. I have seen that i think all the Keefs in that family came to America. Sam Allen is a mystery.

Tipperary / Martin & Mary Doran Clonmel, Clogheen, & Ballyporeen
« on: Wednesday 10 June 15 09:16 BST (UK)  »
This family left in 1825 With the Peter Robinson to settle in Upper Canada.  The requirement to go was poor farmers and good behavior.  In Canada they recieved 100 acres,a house, a cow, farming implements, food for up to 18 months and other things. Finding more about them in Tipperary has resulted in a blank sheet of paper.
The children were baptised in those locations.  The ones that lived for the sailing were William, Lawrence, Mary, Catherine & Daniel.
Marys surname was Moynahan. Im sure there are various spellings.
Any clue would be appreciated

Donegal / Re: Kilraine Cemetery

(There may not be any burial records.)

I thought it a question worth asking. I know my grandparents are burried there but there is no stone. I created memorials anyway on Find a Grave for them.  Thanks for responding

Who would have the list of burials for this cemetery?
