I am so hoping that these are the American census records of the aforementioned Jane & James McConaghy, or I've been barking up the wrong tree for years now...

1870, Leidy, ClintonCo, PA

MCCONAHY, Jas  42  M  Laborer  200  Ireland
      Anna J.  36  F                Ireland
Annie  20  F                Ireland  (Agnes, was married the year before to John McCracken but not living with him?)
     Margaret  18  F                Ireland
        James   7  M                Ireland
         John   5  M                Ireland

1880, Leidy, ClintonCo, PA

MCCONAGHAY, James  65  M  H  Farmer         Ire Ire Ire
Annie J.  47  F  W  Keeping House  Ire Ire Ire
James  16  M  S  Laborer        Ire Ire Ire
John  14  M  S  Laborer        Ire Ire Ire

Whereabouts of Margaret unknown.

1900, Renovo, ClintonCo, PA

MCCONAGHY, James  H  M  MAR 1811 89 50     Ire Ire Ire  1850 50 Na
            Jane  W  F  MAY 1824 76 50 1 1 Ire Ire Ire  1860 40
James  S  M  MAY 1863 37        PA  PA  Ire  Locomotive Engineer

Whereabouts of John unknown. Grain of salt taken with the birth info of James & Jane. (Or should it be a whole jar? Those are waaay off.)

What I still lack is:

Definite passenger information. As far as I can tell they seem to have arrived between 1865-1870, regardless of what years they gave the census takers. This time period should be easy, but none of them show up in any search I have tried.

Any kind of naturaliztion records for James. Not even sure where to start looking, PA is just huge....

Definite death dates. Both gave affidavits for their daughter Agnes' widow's pension application in 1904. That is the last 'sighting' of them. And now that I read those inscriptions, did they get sent back home to be buried?

I'm still not even sure this is the same couple. Agnes & James Jr. are still alive in 1930, so I don't even know when to ask for a death certificate in the attempt to confirm parentage. If this is a match, the fact that James Sr. has siblings sure got my eyes wide open! Does anyone know more about his family?

Thanks for any information that can be provided. If I'm wrong, yikes I'll have to start all over again!
