« on: Friday 08 November 13 19:00 GMT (UK)  »
Married William Farrell possibly 1879 in Drogheda. Lived in Manchester Collyhurst England from about 1890 About 1930 she moved back to Drogheda with one of her daughters Catherine Farrell. My mother mentioned that she owned a tea room there. Looking for information from before their marriage and what happened after she returned to Drogheda.

I just wanted to give to give everybody that has contributed to this thread an update.

I have eventually got the many pieces of information for me able to put the pieces together the bigger picture. I am so pleased to be able to tell everybody that i am now in contact with living family in Canada.

last month I had a message from a lady called Dilo who helped me with the last few pieces. I now know where my lady Mary is laid to rest and what happenned to her daughter Beatrice. Dilo offered to forward an e mail from me to tree owners on Ancestry and within 12 hours I was contacted by them. I now have loads of info and photos which my dad and his sisters will be thrilled about when I am able to share them. Beatrice is the cousin they always knew existed but knew nothing about.
Thankyou to everybody that helped me on this thread. Best wishes Lincsbabe

Hi Helen, just saw the link for this on my e mail. I never met your mum did did "know" her from the BBC site. So dreadfully sorry to hear the sad news. Your mum was such a lovely lady, always there with her humour, a laugh and a joke. She was so helpful to me on the site. God bless her. My thoughts are with you and your family at this very sad time Edith (AKA Edielee on BBC and Lincsbabe on here) XXXX

Could someone please give a little to colour to this photo. It is of My Gt Aunt Alice.

There is a lovely story that this particular dress was worn at my parents wedding in 1951 by my maternal grandmother Margaret who is the younger sister of Alice. Sadly my Grandma died in 1954 aged about 55, shortly after her death her sister Alice came for a visit from Canada where she lived and commented on the dress, which my Grandad and mum said she could have. A little while later she had a photo taken of her wearing it.

I am also posting the photo of my Grandma wearing the dress in order to give the talented people on here some idea what colour it was.

Yes please Susano. ;D ;D I have known for years I have living family out there and I am now perhaps 1 step closer to finding out more about them. Beatrice gave a fair bit of info about her family in her letter. My Mary had 2 brothers that also emigrated to the USA but I have managed to track there whereabouts. My Mary was always the Elusive one ;D Lincsbabe
