ALL I KNOW IS THAT IN MY OADBY BOOK OF 1881 THERE IS A STORY ABOUT HARRY MARRYING MARY J BETTONEY, AND CALLING THER FIRST SON BETTONEY. C. CLARKE.  i HAVE ONLY JUST STARTED TO LOOK FOR HER FAMILY HAVING CONCENTRATED IN A STRAIGHT LINE WITH THE CLARKE'S.

Looking for Mary Jane Bettoney, born Oadby, Leicestershire, about 1857-1859? Looking for her parents names aswell.
She married my greatgrandfather Harry Clarke about1880?

There first son was called Bettoney.

Hi can anyone check the syston parish records for me please. I am looking for the birth of Edmund Clarke i think he was born around 1664. His wifes name was Mary and a son called Hamlet. Trying to find his parents names

Hi could anybody help me with the birth of edmend(edmund) clarke beleived to have been born in syston about 1664. I know he had a son called hamlet and his wifes name was Mary.

            thanks for all that. I shall start looking into some of all that on monday. The names Ethel Louisa seem to ring a bell, perhaps I heard my dad mention the names way back. Knee is coming along well thanks as long as i keep doing the exercises and rest and walk about.

         Thanks for all the looking up u have done for me. You are so right I was completley out with the dates. now I know his mothers maiden name. I hate to bother you again but I have just come out of hospital having had an operation on my knee so i can't get to the records office I would be so grateful if you could find me anything on william brooks he died when my dad was young and his mum married again. I think she changed her name to bennett then.
