I would be grateful if anyone had any information on the above and in particular Samuel Kerrs father William and when Margaret McNinch Kerr (Hays) died.
Many thanks...

This is a bit of a long shot, but I have John Millar who married Sarah Devlin in Joymount Presbyterian church on 01 Nov 1845. They had two children Isabella b 6 Dec 1863 and Patrick b 1861. Could your Margaret Ann and my John be related?

Hi - read this post with interest as I have just discovered that my great grandfather Robert McDowell married Eliza Stewart Townsend in Raloo in 1920. Her parents were in Sarah Lamour and Hugh Townsend but I don't have any other information. Can any one help? And just as an add on I have already booked a holiday to North Island NZ in April 2018

Cork / Re: Connolly/1870s Bantry
« on: Monday 15 August 16 11:19 BST (UK)  »
Hi I am looking for Daniel Connolly, Son of Patrick Connolly and Catherine Reilly born in Bantry on 16 Aug 1872. I am unable to find any baptism records or any additional details about this family.

His siblings seems to be born in differing places through Cork;
Edmund (Edward) Connolly b21 Feb 1871 Carricknavar? Co Cork
Mary Connolly b 29 Mar 1875 Co Cork
Patrick 27 Nov 1879 No 2 Co Cork

The family appear in Merthyr Tydfil in Wales in 1891 census but prior to that must have been in Ireland - can anyone help with any information that can fill in the blanks please?

Thanks.
So is it really abt 1900 onwards with those children as adults.

Have you contacted the church re baptism/marriage records?

There is this offer http://www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=361859.0 for pre-1900

Thanks for that - Do you have any records for Patrick Connolly b1843 Ireland died 12 Nov 1897 or any other Connollys from that time period?

mary married Michael Mcmahon in Dowlais in 19017 April they had 7 little ones (no baptism)

Glamorganshire Lookup Requests / Re: Connolly/Connelly from merthyr tydfil
« on: Tuesday 31 July 12 10:04 BST (UK)  »
please can someone help :( I am trying to tace the Conolly/Connelly family that originated from Bandon? in Co Cork to Merthyr Tydfil sometime around 1870/1880. I think it was Patrick and Catherine Connolly (b 1846) who had Edward Connelly(b1872), Daniel (b1874) Mary (b1871) and Patrick (b1880) all born in Co Cork. In the 1901 census RG 13/5030 Folio 106 pg 9 they are listed as living at 305 High St Penydarren, Catherine died 27/5/1901 (widow of Patrick). By the time that my direct anscestor married (Daniel Connolly) on 5/2/1910 at the Roman Catholic Church in Dowlais to Elizabeth Morgans he was living at Mayfield Terrace, Penydarren. I have been told that Daniel was a staunch Roman Catholic and worked in the coal mines. My grandfather was born on 3/2/1916 at Warren Hill, Britton Ferry, Neath, he is listed as Edmund Connelly but married as Edward Connolly! ??? where do I start?

In addition another brother has been found John b 1873 who married Hanora McCarthy Jan 1/4 1893 in Merthyr. Any information on Hanora is proving elusive........can anyone help please?

Antrim / Re: White's from Larne/carrickfergus

Hi,
The only one I can find reference to is William. He was born on 28 Aug 1871 to Mary Anne White and the birth was registered in Carrickfergus.

Regards

Where can I find a reference for this please? Is it possible to order a birth certificate? I am presuming that Jane is his sister, there may be more brothers and sisters I don't know anything about.

As my whites are Presbyterians is it likely that other White's in the same town with the same religious denomination could be related? There seems to be several different religions listed on the census returns

Thank you I have this link, but mary ann white and Jane White are listed as unmarried.

I thought following the males would be easy but they are proving to be elusive!

I can find no trace of william white, he disappears completley?
