Thanks again dbree so helpful.
No sign of Richards wife Elza by the looks of things.
Tis a pity for all of us that the 1890 census was destroyed by fire.
Every little bit helps.

Thank you aghadowey,
For posting this info.
I was wanting any info on the Father (William)  and mother of Samuel Kirk and any siblings.
Going by his marriage cert he was in residence at Newbliss.
He was protestant  and when he was living in Liverpool he had his children baptized in C of E church.
Thank you for any help in this matter.

I must say the Richard & Catherine link  also the 1860: Cincinnati, Hamilton Co, Ohio link looks very promising.
I calculated that Young Richards birth was approx 1813 on his 1871 Liverpool census
Just taking it all in scrumptious.

Ambly and dbree,
I have to take my hat off to you two huntresses, fantastic work I am so thankful for your time and efforts on my behalf.
First of all on Richard,s marriage cert too Eliza Kirk, he gave his father as Richard occupation Shipwright, which dbree picked up on.
Richard Leeke aged 49 Eliza Kirk aged 47 on 1871 marriage certificate.
Richard Leeke.s past sounds very interesting, would be nice to nail it on.
I did have Margaret Kirk,s info from an earlier researcher help and you both confirmed this.
I also pondered over the possible duel identity of the Pinchin couple at one time.
It was good to get Richard Leeke,s death date 1900 and his sailing detail,s from Liverpool.
It was only the 1871 census which gave me his birth place thankfully.
I also thought he may have been a slippery customer with his age also his coming and goings to and from USA.
It would be nice to find out when Margaret,s mum Eliza died and what was in the Will.
I know that Margaret Kirk died of chronic bronchitis, malnutrition and senility  also she had a hunched back.
Margaret was born 1865 Liverpool on her death cert approx 1869.
It looks like Margaret settled with fellow countrymen for 30 odd years.
Just to mention Eliza,s father was a William Mills occupation farmer, she had 9 children with her husband Samuel Kirk.
I do not know if you can dredge any more info about them, I would like to think so.
Once again thank you so very much.

Hi Ambly,
I would like to know as many things about him, his wife and step daughter please.
When did he arrive from Liverpool to his new work position.
Any info on abodes, when he and wife died.
Do they appear on any census forms
I do know the step daughter Margaret Kirk died in 1934 in Luling, Texas a spinster.
This address was given to her sister Jane back in England,  Margaret Kirk Immigration & Locating Agent for the Galveston-Harrisburg & San Antonio Railway.
Any help to put meat on the bone so to speak.
Many thanks if you or anyone can help in this matter.

Many thanks gaffy, thats a big help on her side of the family.
I suppose it was a sign of the times that the mother very rarely get a mention except on her marriage certs.
Thank you again for any info you come across.
