Many thanks for the information.  This is my family. I am delighted.
The confusion for me is that  one document states "Oldbury was formed in 1841 from Halesowen, it was transferred from Shropshire to Worcester in 1844"   Since I had not been able to find my family or Oldbury previously in Worcs early records I had wondered if I was looking in the wrong County.

Hi my interest is in the Threlfal name, ( mother's side) although they are distant relations, but I also have a Prince line (Father's line) who were from Warwick and later 1860 from Connahs Quay Flintshire.  I assume you have a copy of the 1871 census if not, let me know and I can copy it out for you.  George is listed  as a step son although his last name is Prince, the census also accounts for the children  Mgt and Thomas Threlfall.  I will look up some other records for you as I have time

James Prince born @ 1821 and family  living in Langely Green, Oldbury
I am confused, as some records state Worcester and some state  West Bromwich area Staffordshire    Can anyone shed some light on this,  please.
