Are you a member of  the Orkney Family History Society ? you will find info on this family, there were a few different Johnston families in Birsay, I dont see a connection with Gorries/Gorie or Moars with the family you mention but there is with another Johnston family.

Robert died 1899 Kirkwall plus 2 other sons: Thomas died 1888, Kirkwall death cert : 1888-021-00-0045 & James died 1889 aged 88 Kirkwall death cert: 1889-021-00-0016

Are you a member of Orkney Family History Society ? lots of local people on it who may be able to help you, they have a facebook page too, I have Sanday connections but no Goars or Wards ( so far )

there are Groundwater graves in nearly every cemetery in Orkney, if you join the Orkney Family History Society you will find lots of information to help you, its very reasonable and can be done online with a credit/debit card. Orphir burials are at The Bu or St Nicholas Church, if you google it you will find lots of info

Margaret Logie died on 27/06/1875 aged 70 in Westray - Married to William Logie
Father: James Logie. Mother: Ann Seatter
Informant: William Logie, widower
[Death Cert: 1875-033-01-0013]

Margaret was born in Westray in 1804, ( Gilberts sister ) looks like you have Westray roots, Logie and Seatter are very common names in Westray
