They could be I am aware of Enoch, there is a Shallcross family history web site I have visited which is done by a chap who lives in Atherton which is were Enoch lived.

Jonathon's daughter Sarah Anne (my G Grandmother) was in service in Atherton when she was 14. I have been trying to find a link to the Atherton Shallcrosses as it seems logical that young Sara would have been found work close to relatives (Skelmersdale (the family home) is about twenty miles away from Atherton.

Sarah Anne married my G Grandfather Herbert Holt in Atherton in 1914.

Looking for Jonathon Shallcross (my maternal great great grandfather) He is shown living skelmersdale (lancs) in the 1901 census but I cannot trace him prior to this. The census gives his d.o.b as 1863 born in Hanley, but I can find no trace of him in earlier census' in Staffs

Any help gladly recieved
