Hello Peter,

I haven`t been on roots for quite some time, I signed in today as I was looking for a previous message to find this one from yourself.(all be it from last year) It looks like your father is the John who was the brother of my husbands grandfather (hope you can keep up) Thomas Joseph. Apparently they were in contact with each other prior to the death John. Mark`s grandfather couldn`t tell us much as he would get very confused. I wish I had spoken to him about it earlier. We have tried finding his dates of birth, death etc. All we knew was he remarried in England. If you do read this then please get back in touch
Kind regards
Michelle

No it was demolished some years ago. The graveyard is looked after by St David`s church. Was there something specific that you were after.

Thank you Suz
I hadn`t thought of going back to the beginning of the enumerators walk, we had considered the fact that it could now be called GaerFawr so I have just done the walk of the area on google maps and it does look as if they lived in one of the cottages in the area called Gaer-Fawr, see an afternoon trip out coming up.
thank you again

Hi just wondered if anyone could help. My hubby`s family were from Shire Newton or more to the point Langwn Icha  I know where this is however having problems with finding the address. On 1871 census it identifies information as
Jennet Williams  living at Gairvour cottages Parents Thomas and Somesa (louisa)
Any help would be appreciated
