Hello Rachel
So far I have only been researching the actual family of my grandmother. They seem to be separate from the Listons in Glin but could be related further back. What I put in my post earlier is all I have found as yet.
My Catherine Liston was born !9 Aug 1870 in Caherelly, Parish/District of Caherconlish, to Michael Liston and Catherine Bennett and married Philip Burns, 7 Feb 1892 at the R.C. church in Castleconnell. She was witness at the death of her mother in 1898 in Mountshannon.
Michael Liston was a herdsman or caretaker in Caherelly when he married in 1858.
If I come across any connection to the Listons in Glin I'll be pleased to let you know.
Marie
