« on: Thursday 30 April 15 17:04 BST (UK)  »
Hi there I am having problems uploading my DNA results to the GEDmatch site.  I have downloaded my results from Ancestry into a zip file (as instructed) but when I get to  uploading the file to the gedmatch site at the browse button it will not pull through the zip file.  Can anyone help please? Hi I too have come up against a brick wall re parents of Thomas.  There are so many edgerton's/egertons in the cheshire/staffordshire area its so difficult to find the correct family.  Just to let you know 'aper' green is spen green and you can find spen green on the maps.  Hope this may help.

Hi Geoff and Pete

I have received the marriage certificate of Emma this morning.  She states her father as George Edwards (deceased).  The marriage took place on the 22 June 1872 and her age as 29 and a spinster.  Her occupation was a domestic servant.  She was married in our Lady's Catholic Church in Aspull, Wigan, Lancashire.  So there is definitely a mystery as to what happened to her parents, as I presume George is her uncle!??

Hi Geoff and Pete Thanks for your thoughts on Emma.  Unfortunately, I haven't any information on Emma's marriage, I will have to do some research.  If I find anything of interest I will let you both know.  Thanks again.

Hi Geoff Thanks for your information on Emma.  I don't think she came up 'north' to marry as on the 1871 census she is listed as a servant and isn't married.  I can't find her on the 1861 census in Shropshire or in Lancashire so she may possibly have moved around.  I can't help thinking that if her sister and herself were living with their uncle if something had happened to their parents or were they just visiting?

Hi Pete I have just come across your posting re George and Sarah Edwards in Cound.  I am looking for the parents of Emma Edwards who is on the 1851 census living with George and Sarah and is listed as their niece.  She eventually moved to Lancashire and married by 3 x Great Grandfather, it was his second marriage.  I would be very grateful if you could shed any light on who Emma's parents were and if you have come across in Emma in your research.  I am not familiar at all with this part of the country as my ancestors are concentrated in Cheshire and Lancashire.  Thanks for any help you can give me.

Hi Jackie / Wayne

I'm totally confused!!! with our family - I thought I had the correct information for Thomas and Sarah but according to your research Sarah's maiden is Trinor?  and not Latham.  I am really surprised at this information as this is the first time I have heard of this name.  Also I didn't know how Thomas died and it has quite shocked me.  I would appreciate any information you may have on this.

Regards
