Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: blakemore - snailbeach

David
I have more comments from my relative.
Annie  Oldfield nee  Blakemore Was my  GGrandfsther’s sister.
The query is to find out if Fred Blakemore ( not   Ada’s  father ) the Blacksmith at CrowsNest and whose daughter Gertrude married  the  nephew of my ggrandfather  David Blakemore — David Oldfield .

The enquirer is trying to find if Fred the blacksmith is of our family too.

Are we looking at the same people?

John

Hi David
The Annie, born 1987, sister of my maternal grandmother has the additional name of Harriat not Elizabeth? Her parents Fredrick and Louisa Clift.
I have contacted a relative who knows more about Snailbeach to see if she can help. Will be in touch.

Suz,
I have managed to trace my family from 1905 to 1791 during which time they lived at Snailbeach Coppice and worked in the mine. As now at the stage when it is more difficult to track down certificates etc, I have ground to a halt.
The last definite I have is William, who in 1851 was living at Boycott? At that time he was 50 and married to Francis. Think he died 22 Nov 1864.
From IGI I think he married Francis on 24 Oct 1815.

Cheers
