Sharon:

I would be happy to talk with you or your cousin directly, but I'd rather not post my personal email address on the net to avoid spammers. If you'll go to my personal user page on the WRG website at http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/index.php/User:Tdoyle and then click on the link "email this user" in the left-hand column, you can send me a quick email with your personal email and I we can begin emailing directly with each other. I think you'll need to register on the site (free) in order to email me though.

Thank you!

Tim

P.S. See our Whitneys of Wales page at http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/index.php/Whitneys_of_Wales for the families we have identified so far.

There was a Walter Whitney with wife Elizabeth ----- who resided in Bryngwyn, Radnorshire in 1841 - see http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/index.php/Family:Whitney%2C_Walter_(c1786-a1841)

Other Walter Whitneys we have on record can be found on our "Walter Whitney" index page at http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/index.php/Walter_Whitney

Unofficial one name study website for all variations of the WHITNEY family.

http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/

The Whitney Research Group is an informal group of individuals interested in the scholarly research of Whitney families around the world and throughout history. The site presently contains over 4,200 Whitney family group pages, over 5,500 extracted sources of Whitney material including census records, books, periodicals, probate records, vital records, court documents, etc. The site has strong U.S. participation and record coverage, but we're currently working to expand our information for England, Wales, and Ireland. Over 100 court cases and other records from the (U.K.) National Archives and dozens of PCC Wills have thus far been obtained.

It is also the home of the Whitney DNA Project - all Whitneys are encouraged to participate in this DNA study so we can obtain a better understanding of the various Whitney families.

Jayson:

Are you researching the Whitney family? Have you seen the Whitney Research Group website which I co-host, located at http://wiki.whitneygen.org/wrg/ ?

If you are researching the Whitneys in England I would be very interested in working with you.
