Thank you again Andrew, much appreciated. Unfortunately due to life getting in the way I haven’t managed back up to the cemetery but hope to go again soon. Will let you know if I find the lair.

Monica, just thought I'd let you know I have received a response from the above. Unfortunately as they are a small team they can't offer that service. Worth a try though.

Will just do what a lot of posters have suggested and try to find a number on existing gravestones! Hopefully when we next visit someone will be around to maybe point us in the right direction, if not then Miss. Marple it is!😀

Thank you garngad, will be making another trip out there soon so will check for numbers.
Monica I have emailed the department you suggested so we will see what they say.

Monica, thanks for the information, I already had the section and lair numbers I just wondered how I could go about finding the lair itself!

Hello, apologies if this question has been asked before. Andrew, a poster on here, very kindly gave me the section number and lair of my grandmothers grave in St. Kentigerns, unfortunately I've been unable to locate it. Does anyone know if there is a council department that could help with this?

Thanks again Andrew but I have absolutely no idea how to search these records...think I must be missing something!!  If your kind offer still stands my grandmothers name is Bridget Johnston died 18 December 1954. Many thanks in advance.

The Family History section in the Mitchell Library has the burials for St Kentigern's.  Assuming you know a date of death you can visibly examine the records which are in date order and look through the days after the death.   That will give you the lair number and location.

Wonder if anyone can help?  Can anyone tell me how I can I go about getting the lair number etc of a grave in St. Kentigerns, I understand my grandmother is buried there but have no other information.
