Hi Susie
I have just read your message regarding Elizabeth Cleverly.   I do apologise for not replying sooner but have been tied up with some family issues and have not had the opportunity to look up my family history so as to be able to respond to you properly.   I will get to this in the next few days and respond to you properly.
Best regards
Anne

Dear Deltafin
I'm not sure that we have a family link, although I do have female decendants with the surname Gordon around the time you mention, although the dates for Robert don't appear to tie in with my tree.    If you have any more information I would be glad to hear from you.
Best regards

Thanks for trying Lisa, but I fear this long shot is a bit too long!
If I manage to unearth anything more relevant I will get back to you.

Thank you so much for your message.   Apologies for not responding earlier but I have only just opened my emails!   This information exactly fits with all the details I have managed to find out so far, but the Ireland record was proving very difficult to track down.   I am so grateful to you for taking the trouble to find this, and I will now add it to my tree!
Alexander was my grandfather's brother.

With very best regards, and many thanks again,
Anne

Hi Lisa,
No I'm afraid I don't have an exact date.   Its a bit of a long shot really.   Ancestry came up with a hint which suggested the NY Passenger Lists but my membership doesn't allow me to view.    I have Percy William on an 1891 census in the UK, but then no trace.   I do know the family was split up when the mother died, so I may be completely wrong to chase this hint.   Please don't go to any time or trouble if its not obvious, but thank you very much for getting in touch.
Best regards,
Anne

Is anyone able to view the New York Passenger Lists  to see if there is a listing for a Percy William Brooks, born Chard, Somerset in 1874 please?

Sorry but I don't think we have a link.   No Charles William in my tree - my Charles was a Charles John.    Obviously lots of Harris' around the South Molton area!    Good luck with your research.
Regards
Anne
