Hi Leslie, Sorry to be so long replying but had lost my contacts. I was very interested in your reply because the Sulis who who worked with your father was to give him his full name William Henry Sulis.
My Gran always referred to him as Willie & he had a son Wm. Donald who I think may have been called Bill? As you rightly say the Sulis family lived in Hoylake opposite the golf course. Willie's wife was Ellen Jane. They all later moved London etc. So my puzzle is where does Susan come in? When Willie died in 1965 (in a home) somebody sent me a copy of a newspaper cutting which referred to Willie's wife Susan? I eventually found wife Ellen's death years after him but I can find no trace of a divorce, marriage or anything to solve the problem of Susan. Love to hear from you because you've certainly got the place & Sulis is not a common name!

Hi, at last I've managed to log on. The James Shaw I think you refer to is my father-in-law of great aunt. His son John married Louisa Morris. Her sister married into a completely different Shaw line which is the my main Shaw ancestry.
Will be pleased to chat with you if we are talking about the sames James as I have several in my "Tree"

Hi Mike,--My Grandmother's sister married Ernest Hodgson in 1905 in Wilmslow. One of their

daughters kept up with her cousin (my Uncle) after her parents death. Are you related to any of the

Hodgsons or have further info. I'd be pleased to share any info.

Hello
Thanks very much for the census info. I am still following the family & the 1861 & 1871 confirms by

the age of wife Mary he must have lost his first wife & married again to another Mary. Most

confusing!

Thanks.
I was directed to that site from ???blueyonder. On that site as well as the burial index there were a number of photos of actual headstones. One was for Wm. James Sulis died 1908 -(unconsecrated part). There were 2 others for other members with same surname.  I am trying to find
where or if they can still be viewed as I have made contact with somebody of this name in Canada & was going to give him the address so he could see the headstones of his relatives.
