Thank you for your help. It’s very much appreciated. Sorry for the delay. I couldn’t work out how to send a reply.

Some years ago someone from this website helped me to find information on George Gibson who married Jane Manning in Lowestoft 07/10/1795.  Could anyone tell me if there would be more information on George Gibson i.e. where he came from, or if there were any witnesses to the marriage that might give me some hints as to where to look next.  Thank you.

Can anyone help with a look up of a parish record.  A long time ago someone from this site looked up the marriage of George Gibson to Jane Manning in Lowestoft 07/10/1795.  I am trying to find more information on George Gibson and wonder if there would be names of witnesses to the marriage, or information as to where he came from. Thank you.

Can anyone tell me where I can find parish records for Sutton, East Yorkshire.  I'm looking for a Jane Gibson, baptised 30 December 1815.  I'm trying to find the names of her parents.  Which church would this have been?

Hi John,

Yes my dad was Stan.    We have met before but some time ago.

I haven't been on this site for quite a while but I do have information on George Gibson.   I'm not sure whether to put my email address on this site, as I don't know who else sees it, but if you want as much information as I have got, ask Joyce for my email address and I'll send you what I have.

Regards
Mary

PS  Thanks for the Christmas card.

I think it is probably near to the school and the pond, at the west end of the village - seems logical.

There are Nobles on my tree.  I must update my searches as there are more surnames to add such as Witty, Ransom, Pashby and Bell.  I found gravestones for people in my family tree in both North Dalton and Bridlington.  I find that the ladies in the family tree are so much harder to trace.  I did find a row of houses in North Dalton called Ransome Row and wondered if there was some connection to the Ransoms in my family tree.

Hope the map was helpful to you.

Regards
Mary
