Yes, Unfortunately it does say just Ireland. On 27th March 1845. In most cases a parish and/or county are mentioned.

What about Mary's birth record?

No can’t find her at all 😟

Ok! Found the birth of the next two children, but still no trace of Catherine, and I have no idea why they’re not on the 1861 census 🤔

Can’t make out Michael and Marys place of marriage on the birth record

...and when did she end up in your home town of Dunfermline? What census is she on?

Added:
Is this her in 1871 census with her mother and sister?
JUDGE   MARY        1871   F   5   424/ 7/ 17      Dunfermline   Fife
JUDGE   CATHERINE     1871   F   16   424/ 7/ 17      Dunfermline   Fife
JUDGE   MARY F         1871   F   51   424/ 7/ 17      Dunfermline   Fife

Yes that’s her. 1871 is the first census I could find any of them on.
They’ve said their first 3 children including Catherine were born in Lanarkshire but none of them are on the 1861 census, making me think they must have been born in Ireland as her 3 eldest were born before 1861.
Also Catherine’s daughter Ann left scotland for USA and on her death certificate it says her mother was born in Ireland.

Could somebody PLEASE help me?!
Ive spent hours trying to find the following persons birth;

Catherine Judge
Born circa 1855
Mother - Mary Judge (nee Ford)
Father - Michael Judge

I’m not 100% positive on the whereabouts of her birth but I’ve seen Roscommon/Leitrim/Sligo mentioned.

Can’t find any record of her parents marriage either but they all ended up in Scotland in my hometown of Dunfermline

Any help would be appreciated as I REALLY need to sleep 😂

Leitrim / Mary Ford and Michael Judge

Hello.. I seem to have come to a dead end with my family search and was wondering if anybody could offer help or advice?

My ancestral grandparents came to Scotland around about 1848; I've managed to trace their life here no problem, but I'm struggling with the Irish side of things.

Mary Ford married Michael Judge in 1846 in Manorhamilton, Co. Leitrim. They had 2 children there (Ann and Catherine) before coming to Scotland.

I can't find their parents names, nor the birth of their children. I realise that this was at the height of the Great Famine but any information or help would be greatly appreciated.  :)

Scotland / Re: Help.. Whatever Happened to Elizabeth Hawkins?
« on: Tuesday 03 March 09 20:35 GMT (UK)  »
Hi again.. Now that we know that Elizabeth did not die during childbirth, we are very curious and would like to know when she did die. I still cannot find her death therefore I suspect she may have remarried. Has anyone any ideas how I could find out?

I have found a few marriages after her divorce that could be her but they could be anyone really as they only list an Elizabeth Hawkins and a spouse's surname
