Joanne will need to reply to this before the personal message system will work.

Do the marriage details hold clues?  Is she shown as a widow?  Have you traced the baptisms of all her children?    Sometimes a diligent vicar gives extra information.   Her maiden name will be on the birth certificates too.   That seems the clearest way even if it does cost you a little money.   You would know once and for all.

Not sure if you have these but there are burials for Zephaniah Fisher in St John's Sheffield.
1844 age 44 so could be the 1841 census one.     Worth looking at the original entry to see if it gives more information.
It really would be worth looking at this.  I would agree that is it probably yours.

Northumberland Lookup Requests / Re: Matthew Scott born c1811 Long Benton

Thanks.  Found it on page 384.   Catherine Holt and Matthew Scott are clear and one witness is Jon Pearson I think.  The other is Ann Houilt? or something similar.   Maybe a variant of Holt/Hoult?  I shall hope that she is a sister!

Sorry - being very thick.  How do I get to the next page to search it?
Edit - had to log in!    Sorted now.  Thank you.

Thanks for the replies.   I had seen that birth but various online trees show him with a different mother so I am trying to check it for myself and see if the marriage helped.   Realised I forgot to give actual marriage date.  1st July 1833.

Matthew Scott married Catherine Hoult 1833 in Newcastle, All Saints.   I think he is the son of James and Elizabeth but was wondering if anyone has access to the marriage register to see who the witnesses are.
Many thanks if you can help.

If you have looked at the 1911 image you can look for free at the enumerator's route.  It is one of the buttons along the top.  The bits up at the top are really interesting and give a good overview.
