Australia / Sydney Telephone or Electoral Roll Lookup

Hello

I am trying to track down a person that we believe is still living but with whom contact was lost during the 1980s.

We know his address during the 1980s in Sydney but are looking to establish how long he remained at that address and where he may have moved to subsequently.

Does anyone have access to these records that could help?

Regards
Helen

Thank you so much that is very helpful.  I will see if that answers the questions I have in my tree.  It certainly explains why I am unable to find Louisa on the 1851 census.

Hello

I am trying to find the birth parents of two people who appear on various census returns living with their Uncle and Aunt.

Louisa Cullum, born 1849/1850 - Easton, Suffolk
Alice Ada Cullum, born 1869 - Wickham Market, Suffolk

Louisa appears on the 1861 census living with her Uncle John and Aunt Jessie Cullum in Wickham Market.  By 1871 she is living in Leavesden, Hertfordshire.  I cannot find her on the 1851 census.

Alice Ada appears on the census for 1871, 1881, 1891, 1901 and 1911 again living with John and Jessie Cullum.  On one return she is described as 'Niece's Daughter' and so I suspect she may be the illegitimate daughter on Louisa above.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Thank you very much.  That is very helpful information.  I may try the process with Lewis and see what turns up.

Thanks again.

Hello

I believe that Mary Jones would still have been married after 1883 as there is a Mary Jones listed as witness on my Great Great Grandmother's marriage certificate.

Any other hints for tracking these people down would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hello

I have been trying for several weeks to locate two of my Great Great Grandmothers siblings after the 1881 Welsh census.  They are:

Lewis Jones born c. 1862
Mary Jones born c. 1864

They are both living with their parents on the 1881 census:

1881 Census, Woolstone Farm, St Clears, Carmarthenshire, Wales

JONES, JAMES HEAD MAR 52 FARMER OF 200 ACRES CARMARTHENSHIRE
JONES, PHEBE WIFE MAR 51 FARMERS WIFE CARMARTHENSHIRE
JONES, HOWELL SON UNM 27 FARMERS SON CARMARTHENSHIRE
JONES, JOHN SON UNM 20 FARMERS SON CARMARTHENSHIRE
JONES, LEWIS SON UNM 19 FARMERS SON CARMARTHENSHIRE
JONES, MARY DAU UNM 16 FARMERS DAUGHTER CARMARTHENSHIRE
JONES, MIRIAM DAU UNM 13 FARMERS DAUGHTER CARMARTHENSHIRE
THOMAS, ANNE SERVANT UNM 24 GENERAL SERVANT CARMARTHENSHIRE
REYNOLDS, MARY SERVANT UNM 24 GENERAL SERVANT DOMESTIC CARMARTHENSHIRE

Where do they go to after this?  I am completely stuck!!!

Thanks in advance for any help.

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Re: 1901 census lookup

Hello

I stumbled across your post regarding Castledine in the 1901 census.  The reason I came across it is that my Gt Gt Grandfathers marriage certificate lists 43 Flood Street, Chelsea as his address in 1888, the same address as the census lookup you were requesting.  Interestingly, my Gt Gt Grandfather is also listed on his marriage certificate as a Greengrocers assistant (the same as your Castledine relative) and I know that he worked at the family Greengrocers business on Coulson Street in Chelsea.  I'm wondering if this is a complete co-incidence or whether your Castledine relative also worked at the same business.

I would be very interested to exchange any information that you have.

Regards
Helen
