Do you have access to a family search center to borrow microfilms of parish records?
Batch #C033792 has a Mary Downing chr. 6 May 1810 at Madeley, Shropshire
No batch # but a chr. for a John Taylor, 2 Apr 1809 at Madeley, Shropshire

Batch M033791 for period 1695-1837 for Madeley, Shropshire. No match for the marriage on line but the film might be worth looking at for this marriage.

Warwickshire / Mary Anne Jones, born 1858 at Broseley

I have found Mary Anne Jones in 1881 census at 40 Pershore Road in Birmingham. Also have records of Emily Jones, born 1850 in the 1881 census. She was working for the Veisey family at 34 Pershore Road, Birmingham.
Emily, I know for sure was my ancestor, and she did have a sister Mary Anne, born 1858 in Broseley but the sticker is: Is the Mary Anne at 40 Pershore Road in Birmingham the one I'm after.
The two of them did also have two brothers in Birmingham at about the same time.

Any suggestions how to find more about Mary Anne?

If anyone is able to do a burial index search for Sarah J. Burson or Edwin Henry Burson, it will be appreciated. Sarah died Jan-Mar 1962, in Shrewsbury, age 91 and Edwin Oct-Nov 1948, age 80 in Shrewsbury.

If anyone is going to the Achives in Shrewsbury, and are willing and able to do Burial index lookups, it will be most appreciated.

Looking for Harriet A. Barlow, born Oct, 1887 and died March 1985 in Shrewsbury. Apparently she was in 1911 an assistant matron at Salop Police Court Mission (Boys Industrial Home)

Harriet was born "Jones" and adopted by a family in Shrewsbury, appears she later took the name "Barlow"

Any info about her will be welcome!

Australia / Re: Alfred H. JONES

I do have Alfred H. on UK census records including 1901.
The 1911 census states that of the 7 children, only 6 were still alive.
Now if have records from Cadbury in 1910 that say the same, that is one son is deceased. I know of all the other six, so that leaves Alfred.

Suggestions?

Any help will be appreciated. I'm looking for Alfred H. Jones who appears to have died between Feb and Oct, 1910 in Australia.

The family legend is that he left England for Australia. Born about 1879-1880 in Birmingham, Eng.
Passengers lists suggest he went to Australia (Sydney) in 1905. Occupation-jeweller. Parents-Jeremiah and Geneva Jones.

Looking for Alfred H. Jones, who appears to have died between Feb and Oct 1910 in Australia? The "legend" is that he went to Australia from England.

Born in Birmingham about 1880.
Passengers lists suggest he went to Sydney in 1905. Occupation in England-Jeweller.

Canada Lookup Request / Joseph Charles/Edna ?

Does anyone have suggestions how to find information about a marriage for the above couple?
I have found two passenger lists for him when he arrived in Canada in 1930 and took a trip back to England with his wife in 1957 but would like to find out more about her and where they may have lived in Canada (possibly in Ontario?)

Any suggestions how to find info about these two in Australia?
Born in Devon, England about 1825-27 and relocated to Worcester with parents, Thomas and Mary Charles about 1828.
Passenger list for March 1857 shows Thomas age 32 and Fredk. age 30 leaving Plymouth, England for Australia. Their occupation is shown as miner on the list.
