Hi Profound apologies to the people that have offered me advice regarding H,M.S Brazen,I have so many different sources that I sometimes forget what I have posted,I must try not to do this.I have been working on the Brazen story for approx 22 years and enjoy every minute of it,again apologies to anyone I missed .

Hi Thanks very much for the links to Volunteer Coast Artllerymen,very interesting but for some reason it seems difficult to obtain an  image of the Volunteer Coast Artillery uniform of approx 1800!

Hi ,Thought I should let you know that brisall is me the guy who visited you at the museum and took pics of the Brazen relics etc,My theory is Lieutenant Cook married Miss Norman and possibly honeymooned at Morewellam,they were married only 3 months before the Brazen was lost and since he would have been second in command,he would have stood by the Captains side as in the song No Roses Bloom,what do you think!

Hi Please can any one help with the Volunteer Coast Artilleryman uniform,Im trying to find out what their uniform dress would have been for the period of approx 1800,these men manned cannons on the Sussex Coast.

I wish I knew what parish it was,I think it may be near Morwellham but cant be sure.All I know for sure is that Lieutenant James Cook drowned during the wreck of H.M.S Brazen on Jan 26 1800 near Newhaven Sussex.
