Hi Mike

Thanks for the web sites. Found relevant info on family on Caerleon site.  Still delving into the others. Love your Mon Families site. At half a mile from Caerleon you are practically family, that is  if your surname was Cannon or Gear

Hi Julie ::)

Hi Rhys   8)

Thanks for your willingness to help and for the trouble that you have gone to.  Don't think that I want a photo of a kitchen centre, ;D :D
I'll try a Google search again, didn't have a result last time but can always hope.

Regards

Jowin :)

On the 1881 census my grandmother,Florence Mary Cannon age 2yrs, was living with her family at the Old Malt House, Llangattock, Monmouthshire. Could anyone tell me if it is possible to obtain a photo of it or a web site where I can obtain information.

The marriage certificate for Elizabeth is a copy that I applied for a couple of months ago, so it could be that it was misread. I have been doing a bit of searching, would Mary Young Jenkins be the daughter of James Jenkins and Ann ??????. I have found a death for Mary in 1866, Mathew was still married to a Mary in the 1881 census different place of birth and age. Would you possibly have a second marriage for him.  Many thanks for your help.

Hi Rys,
You are wonderful, the information that you have sent me has definitely started the New Year off well. It certainly seems that this is the same family, I now have something to work on.  Would love th 1861 info if not to much trouble.

Happy New Year

Hi Rhys,
Thank you very much for the "look up". Arthur would be too young to be Elizabeth's father. The Arthur on her marriage certificate was a Relieving Officer, whatever that is,so was tha Matthew that I found on tha 1881 census and I wondered if they were the same person.
When Elizabeth and Mark married the place of residence for both was Cwmbran. Would it be possible for you to look up Mark Cannon on the 1871 census to see if he was anywhere near Elizabeth. as places seem next door to each other that might not help, Mark was a gardener, born in Henbury, Glos, but do not know when he went to Monmouthshire. On 1881 census they were living at the Old Malt House, Llangattock, Mon.

Elizabeth Howells born Cwmcarvan 1853/4, my great grandmother. Only that I can find is her marriage to Mark Cannon in 1874, and on the 1881 census. Marriage certificate gives her fathers name as Arthur, can't find him. Have found Matthew Howells born Cwmcarvan a Relieving Officer.Could you please check 1861 & 1871 for any record of her. Many thanks.
