Thanks to both of you for the info, it's super!! Now I'll just have to find out where they went and who they married.

Sorry for the 1911 request, I'll be good from now on :)

Evie - Thanks for the addresses!!
The other marriage was in 1896 Ashton to either Isaiah Smith or Thomas Stephenson...looked on the freebmd site.

Woody - do you have full access to the 1911? Could you PM me the info on that John & Selina you mentioned if possible...if not no worries  :)

Hi LL,

Upon further digging and more thought I am not in need of any more searching of the unfilmed 1851.

Thank you for looking for this family, it's been helpful!!

Have a great day :)

Wow!! Evie & Isy...you are wonderful  ;D

My personal guess on John & Annie is that she was a Lawton. It works nicely for the birth of their first child as well as her age works for the birth I found in 1868. I know things don't always work out so nicely in reality but that is still my guess LOL.

I found another marriage for a Eunice Smith on the freeBMD in 1896...could that possibly be her or does other info not work?

Were there street addresses for the census info that was given on John & Selina that I could get? I hope so as I like to have an actual address for where they lived, makes them more real to me.

Do either of you have access to the 1911 that you could PM me with the info? I'm such a pest I know!!

Many thanks for all that you have found...it's lovely.

Hello,

The 1891 lookup should be easy despite the name  ;D, it's the 1901 that might be too much trouble. I don't have spouses for the girls if they did get married soooo no worries about finding them on the 1901. I guess that I will have to find out who they married first. If possible I would like to have John though... :)

Joshua Smith b. abt 1831 Stalybridge (widowed, possibly dead already)
Selina  b. 1861 Dukinfield??
John  b. 1863        "
Elizabeth  b. 1870  "
Eunice  b. 1872        "

Thank you, thank you!!

That's weird, they are listed in the index of the 1851 unfilmed at those addresses  ???  http://www.1851-unfilmed.org.uk/1851search.php

You were looking at the unfilmed and not the regular census?
