Hi

Haddington has it's own Catholic Cemetery (St. Mary's) on Gifford Road.

I do not know where the records for 1934 are held, a few years ago the administration of the cemetery was handed over to the town, you could try the John Muir Centre they may be able to help, I found them excellent.  www.johngraycenter.org.

Hi Coolmax

Great result. - thank you for letting me know.    I had much the same help from the great staff when they were in the old library at Newton Port.

The John Gray centre just opened this month, sounds like a neat facility.

Ciao

Hi Coolmax

Haddington Library hold the Burial and Mortcloth records for Dunbar 1879 - 1914.   As Ralph died 1885 his info. may be there, possibility Jane and Ralph were buried in the same grave site

Angus (Forfarshire) / Charles Buchanan - Postmaster Glamis
« on: Wednesday 28 September 11 17:34 BST (UK)  »
Researching further into my Buchanan line I found Charles Buchanan as Registrar and Postmaster in Glamis, I saw a refererence for Tay Valley FHS re. a booklet  Glamis a Village History and wondered if it covered the time Charles lived in the village or if there was any other publications available.

Charles b. 1894 -  d. 1961 and is buried in Glamis Cemetery, his brother James Rollo Buchanan is commemorated on the Glamis WW1 War Memorial.

Other family members lived in Charleston of Glamis.

Any info. would be most welcome.

Thank you

Anita
