My husband's greatgrandfather emigrated from Dublin (Ballymacarrett) to Barrow-in-Furness in about 1880. In the 1881 census he is aged 22, and a "Driller, shipyard" in Barrow, and I presume he had previously worked in the Belfast shipyard although at the time of his marriage he was a "bread server". Are there any records I can check regarding how and when he arrived, and if so, where?
