Hi Annie,
Thanks so much for this. I'm so grateful you took the time to post and help me. Yes, it does work, and trumps two answers from Ancestry which were useless!
Again many thanks to you and to Rootschat

When I  open FTM 2006 I have a window with all old trees -over 20 - How do I delete them permanently. If I delete individuals from an All-In-One tree it doesn't delete the  tree which is still shown in the original window, albeit with only a few bytes.

When working with FTM 2005 the program opens with a window of the many trees, 20+, which  I have created for friends, over the years. Normally I highlight the one I wish to work on to open it.
I now wish to delete many of these trees from my Windows 7 computer.
How do I do it?

South Africa / Death Certificates
« on: Thursday 27 September 12 07:10 BST (UK)  »
My ancestor died in Cradock Hospital in Eastern Cape in 1913. I tried unsuccessfully to obtain a Death Cert from Southport Records Office in the Uk.
I am sure there would have been a UK style overseas Death Cert issued in SA in its qcolonial role. Do these still exist, perhaps at a UK Consulate in SA, and if so are they available?

The Common Room / GRO Certificate ordering change
« on: Friday 08 July 11 22:51 BST (UK)  »
I noticed during a recent Marriage Cert order that Reference Checks were not shown. My order failed, but I received a full refund. Is this a new measure to save the GRO time?
