How many acres is it now? Strangely always feels a bit like home if I pass it on the A55. Have you learnt anything about its history/previous tennants?

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Re: Roberts of Wrexham 1900's *complete*

Hi

Thanks for the interest. I had a bit of a break through after posting at long last! Managed to find the burial record on Wrexham County Council website for the Wrexham Cemetery and I spent the day in Ruthin Gaol searching Rhosddu marriage records (i'd previously searched for baptisms and assumed wrongly that since they werent there then the marriages wouldnt be either) which has provided me with further information.

Thanks again, much appreciated

Sarah :D

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Roberts of Wrexham 1900's
« on: Tuesday 27 October 15 11:50 GMT (UK)  »
Hi

I'm trying to trace someone who moved to then got married in Wrexham in 1921, but I'm having difficulty tracing their life after that and finding out what happened to their children. I have no clue with Wrexham records or resources, I can't even find their death cert for sure, and don't even know where they are likely to be buried etc. I'd really like to be able to fill in as many blanks with any information I can. Any help would be gratefully received. They lived on Stansty Road

Thanks

Sarah

Denbighshire Lookup Requests / Re: Derwen Jane Lloyd b abt 1809

The Peter that died in the mining accident was my great great grandfather. I can send the baptism record I believe might be Jane's from Derwen Parish and I'll send the other documents I've mentioned. I'll private message you my email address so that if you email me I'll email you them back.

You might find this website of interest http://www.hollandfamilyhistory.co.uk/ A different branch of the line has put it together, our line is on there but as for everyone's research if it's not your own don't assume it's fact until you've double checked it yourself.

Have you been in contact with anybody else following this line as there are a few of us about!

I've a copy of Jane and Peter's marriage from the church records and I've just assumed that Jane had moved to the parish before they were married for work or whatever. I have found a suitable baptism for her in the Derwen parish records but it's by no means conclusive.

I have the church burial record and copy of Jane's death cert and her husband Peter's death cert, and the baptism entry for their daughter Sarah if you would like me to send you a copy.

Hi Elliecat

Just wondered how you were related as your statement of Sarah Holland being your fathers grandfather doesn't make any sense. Derwen is in Denbighshire, past Ruthin on the way to Corwen.

I couldn't see a baptism in Yseifiog between 1812 - 1814. There's a marriage in Llanasa between a Richard and Elizabeth Hughes on 4/5/39 which may or may not be them.
