Shropshire / Kinnerley Shropshire The Bevans
« on: Thursday 02 February 23 15:57 GMT (UK)  »
Hello to you all
I'm trying to give some background to my family background for my narrative.
My family from 1658 lived in Kinnerley  and I assume they were farm labourers /cottagers.
I would really like to know something about the area around Kinnerley, I'm guessing the work was agricultural and somewhere in my memory I seem to remember one of the Bevans was a flax gatherer
Do any of you know the main crop in this area? Or, do any of you know of the whereabouts of some sort of map showing enclosures with the date. I don't want my narrative to be born, married, died etc etc.
I look forward to hearing from you
All the very best to you

Oooh,
I feel such an idiot missing the LOPC entries. I do usually check this website but I must have been having an elderly moment. Sorry to have wasted so much Rootschatterers time.
Thank you so much for this info.

Carolyn

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / Re: the Lathom family of Standish

hello !
I realise now how time consuming my look up request would be. I wanted to find out more about the Lathams of Standish and stupidly thought I could find out more !!!!!!  I'm so sorry about this.
I'll make sure this topic is now closed and get on with records which are available online.
All the best, and thank you
Carolyn

Census Lookup and Resource Requests / the Lathom family of Standish
« on: Wednesday 01 December 21 18:33 GMT (UK)  »
hello to you all,
Would anyone go to the RO in Preston? I'm trying to find out more about Theodore Latham. I have his Baptism 1649 in Standish. Then he disappears. I saw on RO website that

Register 176 1560- 1653 Baptisms, Marriages and Burials very poor quality, See LPRS fiche
is held there.
Is anyone up for this? I would really appreciate it.
All the best
Carolyn
