« on: Thursday 03 February 05 05:30 GMT (UK)  »
Could someone please look up the 1851, 1861 &/or 1871 Ashton census for John TRAVIS (b. about 1828), butcher, possibly living on Delamere Street, Ashton-under-Lyne?  He was married to Jane (b. about 1831), and one of his children was James, born in 1851.

Thanks kindly!

Lancashire Lookup Requests / Liverpool 1851 & 1861 - WHITTAKER
« on: Wednesday 02 February 05 20:52 GMT (UK)  »
Could some kind person please look up my great-grandfather on the 1851 & 1861 Censuses?

James WHITTAKER (b.1834) Liverpool, Occ. Painter & Plumber

I'm looking for his parents/siblings.

I would also like info on his marriage to Sarah (b.1840/41) also born in Liverpool, probably between 1865 and 1871.  I know they lived in Great Crosby from 1870's onward, and their children were born in 1872, 74 & 80.

Thanks very much.

I'm looking for James WHITTAKER (b.1834) in Liverpool and his marriage to Sarah - possibly EVANS - (b.1840/41), also born in Liverpool.

In 1881/91 he was a painter & plumber employing 8 men and 6 apprentices, living on Liverpool Road, Great Crosby, Lancs. with Sarah, 3 children:  James (1872), Anna Margaret (1874) and John (1881), and a servant.

Can someone please look up James WHITTAKER (and hopefully find his parents) on the above censuses?  Thanks very much!

Montgomeryshire Lookup Requests / 1851 & 1861 Census - PRYCE & EVANS
« on: Tuesday 01 February 05 20:40 GMT (UK)  »
My great-grandparents John PRYCE (b. 1836), gardener, and Sarah EVANS (b. 1832) were married in the Independent Chapel at Welshpool on 19 Mar 1857.  Marriage cert. shows both fathers, Evan PRYCE (gardener) and Samuel EVANS (weaver) were deceased.

John and Sarah had two of their seven children, Harriet (b. 1859) and Graham (b. 1860) in Welshpool before moving to Great Crosby, Lancs.

I would appreciate it if someone could look up the families of Evan PRYCE and Samuel EVANS on the 1851 Montgomeryshire Census, and also John PRYCE's family on the 1861 Census.  I believe they all lived in or near Welshpool.

Thanks a lot!

My great-grandparents, John PRYCE (b. 1836), gardener, and Sarah EVANS (b. 1832) were married in the Independent Chapel at Welshpool on 19 Mar 1857.   Their marriage certificate shows their fathers were Evan PRYCE (Gardener) and Samuel EVANS (Weaver) - both deceased.

John and Sarah had two children born in Welshpool - Harriet (1859) and Graham (1860).  By 1863 the family had moved to Great Crosby, Lancashire, where they had five more sons.
