I'm seeking descendants of Donald & Christina (Weber) McGregor, who had the Waitemata Hotel at Onehunger, Auckland, New Zealand. Christina died 1891 and Donald died 1892. They had  the following children-  George Condon McGregor, born 1877.  Christina McGregor, born 1879, died in infancy.  Janetta McGregor, born 1882.  John McGregor, born 1884.  Elizabeth McGregor, born 1887, died in infancy.

No, these photos are in a family photo albumn that was purchased here in Australia.
The reason it was, is we can't bear to see albumn's ending up this way, and if we can, we will get them back to the families they really belong to.
A request was posted on the roots chat site by a Darren Davies, who still lived in Christchurch, when he was posting messages of request for Morgan Davis/Davies.

Cheers,

Britt

Darren Davies,

I'm hoping you check in and receive this message.
My friend has an albumn purchased from St Vincent de Paul, containg photos of a Davies family from Christchurch.

If you can prove that you are from this family, we are happy to pass it on to you.

London and Middlesex / Hairdressers & Barbers

I'm hoping that someone out there can help me.
My ancestor was a Hairdresser in the 1780 - 1800+. He was in the London are & then Finchley. Does anyone know where the Apprenticeship papers are for this particular trade? Two of his sons were also Barbers.

Thanks Britt

Thank you for the replies.

John Johnstone was a printer & Publisher, lived at Strichan's Close. He died in Dec 1829, 60yrs. The foot of his grave is at the head of John Paterson, Solicitor, and he has a slate headstone.

Can anyone help with "The New Ground" Cemetery records at South Leith? I'm hoping the Headstones have been transcribed & are available.

On Scotland's people, it has recorded that this is where John Johnstone was buried, even to who is buried next to him.
