Thanks again Jon, article attached. Perhaps there were debt issues, particularly if husband was at sea long term! Perhaps there will be something in Merchant seamens' records?

I've searched British Newspaper Archive and all I have found is the 'Shields' article, nothing in The Chronicle online. Thanks I'll ask for a look up In 1911 she was a 'servant' with the Harwood family (Mr Harwood was a hotel manager) in Waterloo Vale. Parents and younger sister in Maxwell Street! According to the death certificate there was an inquest the day after the death....completed rapidly! Durham Records catalogue doesn't list 1913 but I'll enquire with National Archives on the off chance.

It all seems odd...and registry office! Suicide after three months of marriage? I've looked at all the 'William Husband's, including derivatives, and none seem to fit! Thanks for your input.

Researching a Great aunt that none of the family knew existed! She married a William Husband in Q3 1913 and committed suicide 19/10/13. I'm attaching a newspaper article, her death certificate, and a 1915 newspaper article that, being a deckhand, may refer to the correct William Husband! I don't yet have their marriage certificate but would appreciate help from anyone who can find more information and hopefully identify the correct William Husband. thank you.

Looking for information on my maternal uncle, George Clark. Covid has locked me out of access to my usual haunts and nothing useful on Ancestry! I can apply for his service records but I'm likely to be in a box before the results come through! Anything to help the picture would be much appreciated...
dob 25 Jan 1921, reg'd Tynemouth. Died: 7 Oct 1970. Durham N
Father: George Robert Clark. Address on joining : 1 Peareth Terrace, Birtley, Co. Durham.
I remember that my mother told me that a recruiting 'officer' visited the family home to obtain his Father's signature of approval. One of the two photographs that I have show him in puttees so 1937/38. I remember being told that he served in France and Germany, and was a dispatch rider.
Thanks for any details and/or guidance.
