London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / Marriage Details 1915-1935, William SIBLEY
« on: Wednesday 29 September 10 14:06 BST (UK)  »
I am having trouble confirming the second marriage and wife's details for William SIBLEY.

William was born 23 February 1875 in the West Ham District, son of William Sibley and Rachel Hood of 22 Hamfrith Road, West End.

On 15 December 1909, William married Maude VAN-OKKER in the West Ham District, and according to freebdm, had a daughter Iris G Sibley in September Quarter, 1915. Also according to freebdm, Maude re-married to a Charles Simmons Havard in September Quarter 1921.

My dilemma is that on his Death Certificate dated 21 January 1935, his informant was A.M.SIBLEY, widow of the deceased of 162 Goldhawk Road, Hammersmith. He died in the Hammersmith Hospital.

I have tried to find where & when he married again, and cannot find where a William Sibley married anyone with the initials of A.M., in the period and location area between 1915 and 1935, except for one in March Quarter 1920 to an Amelia Chillingworth in Shoreditch, but don't have a middle initial for her.

Hope someone can help.

The Common Room / George sibley

Hi everyone,

I am in Australia trying to sort out my wife's Sibley family line in England. Her Great Grandfather was George Sibley, and according to some of the family records and headstones, he was born in Snitterby, Lincolnshire on 8/9/1814, and married Jane Bateman on 19/5/1841.

The 1851 Census showed he lived at 117 Tylors Green, Godstone, and was an officer of Internal revenue. In 1881 Census, he lived at 1 Victoria Road, London, Middlesex, and was shown as Excise Officer.

My problem at this stage is finding his parents and other generations before that. Hope someone can help or put me in the right direction. Nothing seems to be working.

Regards

Peter

7.  Samuel Blandon, b: Dec. Qtr. 1869, Blything, d: Jun. Qtr. 1870, Blything.
8.  George Alexander Blandon, b: 1870, Devonport, Devon, d: 2 May 1943 in
     Queanbeyan, New South Wales, Australia.

I have all the details on the Australian connection, and looking for any info on any of the others above and the Pre-William period. Hope someone can help.
