Dublin / Help!! Connell/Oconnell & Scullion marriage

Hi can anyone help?
I am trying to find my Paternal Grandparents marriage but don't know how to go about it i live in lincolnshire so i can't just pop to the record office
Heres what i know
I remeber a story when i was younger that when they came over to England they dropped the O from Oconnell & became just Connell not sure if this is true or just heresay
John Michael Connell b Dublin this is all i know on him as he left my nana & the kids when they where young
Eileen patricia margaret Scullion
b 22 Feb 1922 Ballymena County Antrim
They came over to England abt 1940
Children
Son Connell b 1940 Birminham
Dau Connell b 1945 Brimingham
Son Connell b 1948 Dublin
Dau Connell b 1950 Islington
Son Connell b 1952 Islington
Son Connell b 1953 Islington
My Dad b 1954 Islington
They had a son called Kevin Who died young don't know when he was born also they where Roman Catholics
