Trish,

Thank you so much for all your research on John Jordan.

One question - who do I contact to purchase his marriage certificate and how much does it cost (I'm new to this and don't know where to contact)

Many thanks again

I am trying to find out some information about John Jordan who was born in 1816 in Milford, Pembroke  (this information is from the 1881 census when it is stated he was 65 and a land owner living in Shropshire).

I would be most grateful if anyone could find out any information about his parents or if he had any brothers or sisters.

Many thanks

Wales / Thomas George - complete

Hi Everyone

I am trying to find out where the following two men went after the 1901 census.

Thomas George (born 1872) in Abbey Cwmhir, Radnorshire and his nephew also called Thomas George (born 1891/2) also born in Abbey Cwmhir, Radnorshire

In 1901 they were both living at Tanyrallt, St Harmon, Radnorshire.

It is a family mystery as to where they went, some family members think they moved to South Wales while others believe they emigrated.

If anyone has access to the 1911 census, could you look them up for me, or if anyone has any info as to what happened to them I’d be ever so grateful.

I don't have dates for Charles Evans but the dates I have for Anne Phillips are:

Born 1839 in Llanfair Waterdine
Died  March 1929 in Crossgates

She was the sister of:
John Phillips b 1826
Mary Phillips b 1827
William Phillips b 1834
Richard Phillips b 1841

William was my gggrandfather

Hi Sandra

In my family tree I have an Anne Evans (nee Phillips) living at Hernog Inn, Llanbadarn Fawr (Crossgates).  I believe her husband was Charles Evans.  Are these your Evans?

I am looking for information on the following family:

Thomas Williams b 1850 (possibly in St Harmon)
Mary Williams (wife) b 1852 (possibly in Abbey Cwmhir)
Harriet Louisa (daughter) b 1896 in Abbey Cwmhir
David Williams (son) b 1898

This info was given to me by a friend who had access to the 1911 census

Any information on the above would be gratefully received - could someone please look for this family in the 1901 census

Tati

Thank you so much this is wonderful.

My grandfather John Gordon Owen (Martha's son) was born in 1903, but I do not believe he was ever in the workhouse, but this may not be correct.

It is also very sad to think that a relative of mine was labeled an imbacile/lunatic and spent most of her life in the workhouse.
