Hi Jan

excuse me for being thick!  ::) but do you know where the Birmingham police court records are kept? when I first found Joseph in the industrial school I went to the records dept at  B'ham library but they told me that if he was sent to Essex then he wasn't sent by a court in Birmingham but the records from the catholic childrens society said he was sent by the B'ham courts?

lost and clueless  :-\

Hi

I have Joseph's marriage cert to Leah Copper. His Father was Joseph Rollason they both have the same job - iron moulder.

I also have a birth cert for a Joseph Rollason with the following info

born - 22nd April 1887
father - Joseph Rollason - Nail caster
mother - Sarah Rollason ( formerly Meakin)

I can't find real proof that this Joseph is the same one as on the marriage cert. I also can't find a marriage between Joseph and Sarah. Could she be the Irish connection everyone I've spoke to keeps telling me we have?

All the other parts of my family have been easier. Ever my husbands family has been easier then Joseph!!! There's always one  :-\ lol

Thanks

Hi

I'm trying to find the following person but seem to keep hitting a brickwall everytime I think I'm getting somewhere.

this is what I sort of know?  :-\

Joseph Rollason married Leah Copper 7th August 1906
Fathers name is Joseph Rollason, Iron moulder

I have been told by another family member that Joseph's mothers last name is Meakin and that either she was from Ireland or Joseph was born there as they think Joseph Snr was there with the army and that they may have never married.

not much to go on but I am determed to find this person!!  ;)
