Ian,

Yes please do.   You help greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

FOWLER, Ernest of Qu'Appelle Saskatchewan and England.   Born Ripon Lancs in 1882.  Came to Canada prior to WW1, perhaps in 1902.   Served with CEF reaching the rank of RSM in WW1.  Lived Qu'Apelle Sask.  Married Millicient Irene DOWNEY at Winnipeg in July 0f 1920.  No further info known after 1920.

Thanks for your info.

I will check your sailing reference.  I have checked out at least one sail in 1902 but it was wrong guy.

Thank you for your reply and interest.

I have Ernest FOWLER's Attestation paper (Reg. #: 2414) ect from LAC and Census info.

The problem is that after his marriage in 1920, he disappeared as did his wife.  Haven't been able to find birth of children in the 1920s (Not available yet from Sask. Gov.) or any death info.  So I have no idea what happened to them.  A contact in England remembers a picture of Millicient DOWNEY (i.e.: Wife) with a man who he assumes was Ernest FOWLER but he has no further recollection of them.  The other info from him was they they went to Saskatchewan which I have confirmed.

The search continues.

I am trying to identify the location (i.e.: city) in which the attached picture was taken.  Believed to be a city in Canada but that has not been confirmed.  Thank you for any help.

Yorkshire (West Riding) Lookup Requests / FOWLER/GRICKS/DOWNEY

I am interested in William FOWLER and his spouse Emma Agnes GRICKS and family.  I believe they were married March Quarter 1882 Tadcaster (9c 835).  They had a least one son - Ernest FOWLER born late 1882 (Possible birth - Dec 1882 - Fowler Ernest        Pontefract        9c 131).    Ernest went to Qu'Appelle  Saskachewan Canada probably in 1903.   He served in the Canadian military in WW1 and held rank of RSM.  In July of 1920 he married Millicent DOWNEY at Winnipeg Manitoba.  Millicent DOWNEY was born Liverpool England about 1898 and was the daughter of Daniel DOWNEY and Sarah Ellen MORRIS.

An info or suggestion greatly appreciated.  Thank you.
