Essex Lookup Requests / TOBIAS and SARGE(A)NT help please
« on: Thursday 01 June 06 06:50 BST (UK)  »
Would SKS help with this family please:

Emily TOBIAS, married 1859, born Hedingham, assumed Sible Hedingham, about 1835. If somebody could find her in 1841 or 1851 that would be wonderful.

After she married Philip SARGE(A)NT in 1859 (Halstead registration district) I'd be grateful if anyone could find them in the 1861 or 1871 censuses. They moved to Pattiswick (Braintree registration district) and were probably there in 1861.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Heatha.

Hello,

Could SKS look up this family in 1871. Raisin was born in West Wratting in about 1839 (baptised June 1839). I'm particularly interested in their children.

TIA.

London & Middlesex Completed Lookup Requests / 1901 LORD George - Islington
« on: Saturday 13 May 06 11:57 BST (UK)  »
Could SKS please look up the LORD family in Islington for me in 1901. I'd like to find out the relationships of the family members to the head of household.

LORD George born circa 1824 Northampton
and
LORD George born circa 1852 Cambridge
should both be in the same household, if I'm right.

Thanks in advance,

Heatha.

Would SKS please check the Headbourne Worthy parish records for me. Between 1800 and 1830 I believe Thomas Lay and Sarah Lay (née Harding) had several children in Headbourn Worthy. This has come from census information and a marriage certificate.

I need to confirm that James Lay, born circa 1808, was indeed their son. I am interested in finding his baptism and, if anyone has time, any other children with these parents. I know they had at least three children born there: Robert circa 1815; Maria circa 1824; Charlotte circa 1828. I also know James' father was called Thomas.

If anyone has access to these records and could help I'd be eternally grateful.

Thanks,

Heatha

Could SKS please look up Miles WHITELEY and his wife Elizabeth (Betty).
In 1861 he was 59 years old, living in the parish of Soyland, Halifax, occupation Wool Comber and birthplace given as Barkisland (near Halifax).

I would be very grateful if anyone could find him and his family so that I can send the details to his great-granddaughter in Australia.

Kind regards,

Heatha.

Cambridgeshire Completed Lookups / FORDHAM Caxton - parish records
« on: Sunday 11 September 05 20:36 BST (UK)  »
Could SKS who has access to the parish records for Caxton look up a possible birth/baptism for John FORDHAM around 1804. He was listed aged 47 in the 1851 census born Caxton (I hope), Cambridgeshire, although by then he was well away from home. I have checked Carlton (just in case) and cannot find a suitable baptism there.

TIA,

Heatha
