Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: 1861 census look-up-MUNSLOW
« on: Sunday 06 March 05 21:07 GMT (UK)  »
Hi Vetty,
I'm sorry I can't help you with your request, but I could have a link to the family you are searching for.  I've just discovered that my g.g.g.grandmother was called Jemimah Downes before she married John Brown in the Munslow area in 1845. She had a son called James Brown, who was christened in Munslow in November 1846, and like you I am now searching for more info. It occurred to me that maybe the father of your James, and my Jame's mother could have been siblings.
If you come across Jemimah in your search I would love to hear from you, and likewise I will contact you should I come across anything I think may be of interest to you.
Regards
Karen

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: 1851 census look-up please - Munslow, Shropshire

Hi someone contacted me direct to advise me that the Brown's do not appear on the Munslow census. I'm now left wondering where they were in 1851.  I  have been able to establish james' parents through records of his christening in Munslow, they are John and Jemimah. So if anyone can find them in the Shropshire area, I would be very grateful for the details.

Shropshire Lookup Requests / Re: SLANEY & ELIZABETH CALLIER/CALLEER/CALLEAR

Hi Jean,

It's strange how these surnames seem to interlace, but without a definite link.  I also have the Evans surname in my family tree and yes, my married surname is Lee.

I did know about Susan Callear, infact there are 45 Callears living in the Lawley area in 1821, I have a list of them all, so if you have an interest in any, let me know and I let you have the details.

Thanks for the response Jean, the family of Harriet has now been found by someone on another website. Apparently the surname is spelt Holms, that's why I was having problems finding them.
Thanks again

Shropshire Lookup Requests / SLANEY & ELIZABETH CALLIER/CALLEER/CALLEAR
« on: Monday 14 February 05 17:39 GMT (UK)  »
I'm looking for any info. on Slaney & Elizabeth Callier/Calleer/Callear.
He was born in 1791 in Wellington. He married Elizabeth Dunning in 1814. She was abt. 2 years younger.  I've found info. that tells me that they were living in Lawley Bank, Shropshire in 1821, and they had 2 children, Sarah and Thomas. Can anyone find them on the 1841 census, or as anyone come across burial of death records for them?
I have my fingers crossed that someone out there will find something.
Thanks

Fingers crossed hoping that someone will be able to help me with this.
