Shropshire Lookup Requests / Charles Vincent marriage 1876 Bridgenorth
« on: Tuesday 03 April 12 08:59 BST (UK)  »
Hi All
I am looking for the marriage of Charles Vincent born Burleston Dorset marriage to Mary Ann Tolley in
1876 registered in Bridgenorth.

I am especially interested as to who were the witnesses to this marriage.

If you have access to more detailed records I would be very much obliged to you for your help.
I don't really want to spend out on the certificate as it is only the witnesses I am interested in as family has it there was a rift between Charles and his twin brother George and would like to know if it was after this date.

Dorset Lookup Requests / Marriage of William Robins and Sarah Pierce circa 1850
« on: Tuesday 30 August 11 17:40 BST (UK)  »
Hi All
I have today received the birth certificate of my Great Grandmother Susan Robins born 15 Jul 1854 in North Allington Bridport Dorset. Her father is William Robins who I know was born in Guernsey Channel Islands circa 1828 and was a chimney sweep in the Bridport and Cerne Abbas areas for many years.
Her mother is Sarah Robins nee Pierce (this is the spelling on the birth cert) some family trees have her as Sarah Jarman but I believe this to be incorrect for my Susan.
I wish to find the marriage of William Robins & Sarah Pierce and any help would be appreciated.

The Common Room / From Dorset to Salop 1870s
« on: Saturday 27 August 11 13:42 BST (UK)  »
Sometime in the 1870s my ancestors moved from Dorset to the Bridgnorth area of Salop. This probably took place after the 1871 census as they were still in Puddletown at this time.
Is this because some sort of job fair had taken place and people moved for a better life and work in that area?
If anyone has knowledge of this happening I would be interested to here about it.
Regards

Dorset Completed Look up Requests / 1871 census Charles Vincent*completed*
« on: Tuesday 23 August 11 13:38 BST (UK)  »
I am looking for the 1871 census record of Charles Vincent with his wife Esther Vincent both born in Piddletown circa 1828.
In 1861 they were in Worth Matravers and in 1881 were in claverley Shropshire along with other family members who had moved to that area I assume for employment. In 1871 I believe they were in the Cerne district.
Any help much appreciated
