Family History Beginners Board / Boxing trophy for E Ayers
« on: Wednesday 28 April 10 09:15 BST (UK)  »
I have in my possesion a silver goblet that was presented to my uncle Ernest Ayers.
The inscription on it reads
N.F of B&B . S&S Camberley
Open boxing competition. 10th March 1921. Light Heavy Weight. Winner. E Ayres. (should be Ayers).
I have tried google search to no avail. Could anyone shed any light.
Thanks

Hi Osprey And Kris
Thanks for your input as i'm new to this site. Deported does seem the wrong word and should have been transported as we believe that he did do something wrong to make him leave. Most of the info we have is from the daughter of Kate Moyle, IGI and OPC.
I have looked at OPC and see a Beatrice & Cecil and it appears from ancestry .co both of these died the same year as their birth. that may be why we did not know of them. Ethel had a daughter Edith May in 1911 out of wedlock and was commited to an asylum with the daughter being brought up by Clara Moyle, Ethel's sister.
Have not purchased any entries as yet.

Regards
Len  :)

I am trying to find any information about my wife's Great grandfather William Henry Moyle who was married to Eliza Jane Jordan. The 1891 census shows them living in Well Lane Helston. We also know that they lived in Lady Street were my wife's Grandmother Kate lived as a girl.
We believe that William Henry was deported to America sometime between 1900 & 1911 but don't know why.
Any info would be very useful.

Would it be possible that one of the expert photo restorers could do some tidying up of this photo.

Many thanks

Len

Hi Lisa

I believe that the Susan Robins that you refer to is my Great Grandmother.
She married a George Vincent in Shropshire in 1875 and they had 12 children of which the eldest William Vincent was my Grandfather. He married Mary Dominy in Cerne Abbas Dorset in 1903 and my Father Leslie John Vincent was born in 1906.

If this is the correct person get in touch

Regards
Len Vincent
